Why are scheduled castes and tribes not Hindu?

In a letter to British PM Ramsay Mcdonald in Sept 1932, Mr Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi wrote,

"In the establishment of separate electorates at all for the 'depressed classes', I sense the injection of poison that is calculated to destroy Hinduism."

Mr Gandhi may have been "somewhat" correct on this occasion. "Distruction of Hinduism" would've been a welcoming side effect for many but that wasn't the aim of separate electorates.

People from the scheduled castes and tribes who believe 'deprivation of their right to separate electorate' was a great injustice but continue to call themselves Hindus, ARE THE BIGGEST HYPOCRITES IN INDIAN HISTORY.

If Separate Electorates had been implemented as was legally decided, NO PERSON FROM THE SCHEDULED CLASSES WOULD HAVE BEEN CALLED OR SEEN AS A HINDU TODAY because in order to win that right, Dr. Ambedkar HAD TO PROVE BEYOND DOUBT at the Roundtable Conferences that they were non-Hindu.

That's why Dr. Ambedkar said "Gandhi is the greatest enemy the untouchables ever had." Gandhi deprived these non-Hindus of their legal right, forcing a "Hindu" identity on them.
